Old Country Market (Coombs)

The market with goats on the roof. A year-round food hall, deli, ice-cream counter, pizza patio and gift shops — the most photographed stop between Nanaimo and Tofino. Heaving in summer; off-peak in shoulder season.
Falls

Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park

A 3.6 km loop along the Little Qualicum River that drops through a chain of waterfalls. The route is rooty, well-marked, and has multiple viewing platforms. Trailhead car-park is on the highway between Qualicum Beach and Port Alberni.
Garden

Milner Gardens & Woodland

Ten acres of rhododendrons, ornamental trees and woodland trails ending at an oceanfront tea house. Owned and operated by Vancouver Island University. A favourite of the Royal Family — visited by Charles in 1973.
